I am a bit late on this post as I was pretty busy the whole day. Now… where was I? OK… I registered for Adbrite already and why so? Because this is one of the ad networks that permit sports-betting content.
Personally, I disagree with the statement that sports-betting is gambling… because sports-betting (actually, I am into football/soccer betting) requires analysis (teams’ lineups, pitch, weather… etc) and although luck may still be a factor in this interest, most professional and experienced tipsters can still predict an outcome of a match pretty accurately.
I don’t call “investing” on something that can be analyzed and predicted as gambling… because if that’s the case, then stock exchange related ads and forex ads should be banned as well. Heck… I would even suggest to ban real estate investment (or any other form of investment) since we don’t really know if we will profit from it or not.
OK… I shall leave this “sports-betting is gambling” debate to my other blog… but to avoid being banned unnecessarily by Adsense, Adbrite would be a more logical choice for my sports-betting blog.
Meanwhile, there are a few other areas where Adbrite actually better Adsense. One pretty obvious advantage in Adbrite is that you can opt to get paid when you hit the USD 5.00 mark.
Although USD 5.00 is a bit too low… but the fact that it will take time for a new blog/site (for example… ahem… Biz-e-Body) to hit the USD 100.00 mark set by Adsense will eventually lead the bloggers or webmasters to opt for other alternative Adsense-similar ad networks.
Obviously, I am one of them. However, at the moment I have two blogs using Adsense and one using Adbrite. Give me some time to see the result… and a comparison will be made.
If you can’t wait, just Google up both Adsense and Adbrite at once… and it will lead you to some pretty good (but pretty old) comparison articles between the two ad networks.
I am still thinking of what to do next… err… I still haven’t authenticated my blogs in Yahoo! yet because I don’t know how to add a Meta tag (told you that I am not technically savvy) to my site… and I have my reasons for not using the ftp method.
Hmm… I guess I better publish this post first (since I am already late in publishing for today)… and we will talk about what to do next later. Ciao for now!
